We are very pleased to announce that Nahal Global Trading Co. has completed 10 very successful years.  Nahal Global Trading Co. was established in 1993 in San Jose, California. Our first catalog was published in 1994. It was a modest 10-page booklet. At that time we thought it was very large! Well, over the years our catalog has grown several fold and so has our selection and customer base. Today, Nahal Global Trading Co. carries the LARGEST selection of books on Sikhism, Sikh history, Punjab and Punjabi on the internet. And we stock our books locally. However, one thing has not changed – our commitment to excellent customer service and serving the needs of the Sikh/Punjabi community, libraries, readers of Sikhism, Sikh history, and academic institutions. We offer a wide range of English-Punjabi dictionaries to meet the needs of bi-lingual students and new immigrants who may not be well-versed in English.

We try to make our catalog attractive to all readers. Our readers range from children who just start to learn the Gurmukhi alphabet and names of the Sikh Gurus, school children, students of Sikh history, teachers, professors, scholars, and those who want to learn about Sikhism, Gurbani, Punjab, Punjabi literature and culture that thrived 5000 years ago in the Indus Valley. We at Nahal Global believe that teaching Punjabi/Gurmukhi and Gurmat to your children is the key to preserving our religion, culture and fine traditons. It is our goal to connect our readers with our universal faith and our remarkable ancient culture. We encourage you to join us in this mission. You can do so by starting a family library that meets the needs of all family members. We are here to help.

You can simply print out our latest catalog in the PDF format. We are in the process of updating our on-line catalog. We realize that our on-line catalog was not updated for a long time. We are switching to a more versatile database program with search capabilities. In the near future, you will able to search all the titles very easily.

Note: This catalog gets updated on a continual basis and some titles do go out of stock. When ordering books, please try to use our latest catalog and use the catalog number. It helps us in expediting your order. We can offer help and advice to individuals, schools, colleges, libraries, Gurdwaras, and other educational and religious institutions in selecting books related to Sikhism, Sikh history and Punjabi language.  To satisfy the research needs of  research scholars in the western world. We buy books from all the universities in Punjab and other academic institutions and publishers in India, England, Canada, Pakistan and other countries. We also carry many titles by North American authors.

Please read the ordering information carefully. If you have any questions, you may contact us via e-mail at nahal@ix.netcom.com

Sincerely,
